YEAR 2
In our sophomore season, we endured and overcame some battle wounds, first with a rocky co-production, then with a wildly ambitious repertory of two small plays that ran during the snow-pocalypse of 2015. We bounced back stronger than ever, ending the year with a nearly sold-out production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, adapted to feature two women as singing soothsayers and an African American woman in the role of Marc Antony.

YEAR 3
In our third year, we began exploring the notion that small theatre companies need not stretch themselves too thin. Instead of exhausting our resources with four productions, we programmed an eclectic trio, including a campy classic, an award-winning world premiere, and a hilarious contemporary comedy with juicy roles for greater Boston’s fiercest leading ladies.

YEAR 4
In our fourth year, we continued with our “quality over quantity” approach to producing mainstage plays. We picked two wildly different scripts: a small cast, avant garde work in translation, and an epic American drama based on a true story and featuring 18 actors of all ages and ethnicities. We rounded out the year with a series of one-off events, including industry-related workshops, a public performance on the steps of the Boston Public Library, and our Noel-Coward-meets-Whitney-Houston-inspired Marvelous Party.

YEAR 5
Our fifth birthday coincided with our first year as the first-ever company in residence at the Multicultural Arts Center in East Cambridge, MA. We had a year-long development process for Dark Room, by George Brant, which culminated in the script's world premiere production with a cast of 22 women. We also rebooted and remixed our Marvelous Party, and peppered in a Shakespeare event.

YEAR 6
With Year Five ending in August of 2018, Year 6 came along fast and furious! We started off in conjunction with the midterm elections, staging a spirited second edition of our SHAKE Up, this time exploring Shakespeare's political scenes. In February, we staged the world premiere of Who Is Eartha Mae?, a one-woman play with music about the life and times of Eartha Kitt.
